CoverGirl Katy Kat Matte Lipstick – Catoure • $8.99

I was excited to try the CoverGirl Katy Perry Matte Lipsticks. There were several colors to choose from at Walgreens. The color I purchased was “Catoure”. These lipsticks are supposed to be demi-matte with a soft finish that feels creamy and moist on lips. I have always been a big fan of matte lipsticks because they are long-lasting and they don’t rub off on everything. I had never tried a demi-matte though. My first impression was that it was super creamy and moisturizing. To me, it felt like I was wearing a chapstick instead of a lipstick. I love the texture and the way this lipstick feels on my lips! It has a bit of a sheen or a soft luster as you can see in my photos above. It isn’t glossy or glittery at all which is great. It did come off easily when eating and drinking, but even though it came off easily, there was still some color left behind. It was almost like the sheen came off and there was a matte color left underneath. I liked that a lot. I didn’t have to reapply as often as I would have if it were a gloss or chapstick. Overall, I think these lipsticks are great. The price is unbeatable! I can’t wait to try the other colors.
